Simultaneous heating and cooling

Simultaneous heating and cooling

Due to their double use and high economic efficiency, simultaneous heating and cooling systems are very attractive. COMBITHERM heat pumps have up to 5 different operating modes such as heating, cooling, heating with cooling, cooling with heating and free cooling. Depending on the requirements, the priority is set on heating or cooling mode. 

In case of free cooling, cold ambient air is used directly for hot water generation. No compressor operation is needed. As a result of double use and reduced current consumption, this typ of heat pump is the optimal, future-proof solution for your application.

Attractive Heat Sources

Constant availability of energy, independent of the year-time, characterize well-chosen heat sources. Especially for industrial applications, there should be no temperature or capacity fluctuations. Continuous and free heat sources are geothermal energy and river/wells water. The heat can be extracted from soil via geothermal probes, collectors etc. and in combination with heat pumps used for hot water generation. 
Moreover, wasted water or heat from sewage treatment plants or existing urban supply networks can be exploited for hot water generation. Chemical reactions such as corrosion can be avoided by using specially designed heat exchanger systems. For heat recovery, large heat pumps can be integrated into industrial processes. A particularly effective method is the heat recovery in ventilation systems.

Semi-hermetic screw or reciprocating compressors with stepless capacity control and reduced starting current. Electronic expansion valve for optimized refrigerant filling of the evaporator. Reliably closing also in case of power failure. Electrical panel according to industrial standard including all switches and safety components as well as wiring. 

Control of the aggregate by programmable logic controller with touch panel for visualization of refrigerant circuit, operating point, application limits, temperature, pressure and the output of plain text in case of malfunction. Inline pump with integrated frequency inverter for electronic control e.g. to enable constant or variable differential pressure, equipped with piping connection and necessary auxiliary equipment.
