As a public broadcasting channel, radio is on the air continuously at all times throughout the year. This generates a wide variety of internal heat loads, such as computers, electronics or broadcasting equipment. By means of a water-cooled chiller, the generated heat can be continuously dissipated and the power consumption can be reduced by 41 %. A high level of operational reliability is ensured by two self-sufficient refrigeration circuits, each equipped with a screw compressor.
For the production of machine tools, the company requires process cooling in the form of chilled water. This chilled water is generated either via a frequency-controlled screw compressor or via free cooling operation. Cold outside air can be used directly to cool the process water. In normal cooling mode, the heat generated is completely dissipated to the environment via the air-cooled condenser. Weatherproof housing covers allow safe outdoor installation with minimum noise level.
The office air conditioning of a large industrial company is based on a chiller that uses air as both heat source and heat sink. The outside temperature is cooled and dehumidified by means of a screw compressor and then blown into the offices to be air-conditioned via direct evaporators.
Cooling of an office area of 350 m2 is provided by an eChiller in combination with cooling blankets. The combination of electrical and thermal storage together with the partial load efficient turbo compressor covers the cooling over the daily cycle incl. pre- and post-cooling of the building structure. The eChiller regulates its operating states and the periphery (recooler, cooling and chilled water pump). At favorable outside temperatures, partial or complete free cooling can be operated. By means of a solar system, the refrigeration system can be operated completely self-sufficiently in terms of electricity.
